Made by Dalloun, a French potter, in La Borne.

Method: Terra sigillata is a 2500 years old method used by the Greeks and the Romans. The slip (glaze) is made with the lightest particles floating on top of the clay. This makes it particularly glossy and soft.

Material: the body is made of white earthenware and the slips are made of wild, unadulterated clays found in various places in nature in France.

Wheel thrown and de-centered. This de-centering is made on purpose in order to make the cup uneven, wabi and more interesting.

Fired in a wood kiln around 1000 degrees Celsius.

This earthenware cup is particularly well suited for puerh tea.
