2016 Spring Top Qingxin Oolong Lishan
Cultivar: Qingxin (ruanzhi) Oolong
Harvested by hand: May 9th, 2016
Origin: Lishan (2400 m)
Process: light oxidation, rolled, dried .
The leaves are big and green/yellow. They produce the brightest, shiniest and most transparent yellow color.
Meadowy and flowery with notes of butter. Very fresh and bright.
Delicate and sweet in taste and aftertaste. Slow and long to unfold, it stimulates the throat and makes it salivate. Violins are playing Mozart with grace on the palate!
Conclusion: this Lishan is fresh, bright and elegant. It's a perfect example of the character of Lishan High Mountain Oolong. Now that Da Yu Ling plantations are taken back and destroyed, Lishan is the new king of Taiwan Oolongs!
