1. View

The leaves are surprisingly small and green. They produce a bright, shiny and clear yellow brew.

2. Scents

High notes of fresh spring flowers and thick grass, just cut. The flowery fragrances start first and are progressively replaced with the fat, butter fragrances of very high Oolong tea.  This smell lingers on the palate and comes back to the nose with a hint of freshness.

3. Taste

Delicate and sweet in taste and aftertaste. It's pleasing and round with no hint of bitterness, even in competition mode (3 gr for 6 minutes).

Conclusion: these leaves were picked rather young. This explains their small size and wonderful high flowery notes. This tea comes from a young tea maker who's processing his Oolongs in a more modern and efficient way (air conditioned indoor whithering). For fresh high mountain Oolong this method is actually quite suitable and results in lower costs that I'm happy to pass on!
