Process: Jassid bitten buds, high oxidized, in stripes and lightly roasted.


After selecting a modern, scent oriented, Oriental Beauty from 2014, I also wanted to propose a more traditional Oriental Beauty, similar to what I have been offering these last 3 years. These leaves are smaller and processed in a more labor intensive, traditional way. The roasting/drying is also is also deeper. That's why the leaves are suitable for aging and it's not a problem that they are from 2013. On the contrary!
Taste: the tea has clean and mellow taste and long aftertaste. There is also a sour note that can appear when the tea is brewed too long. Don't overbrew.

The dry smells start to smell like old brandy, just what I like for this type of tea as it ages.

The taste is incredible fine and powerful. The tea's concentrated buds explain why the best way to brew this tea is with few leaves, high temparture and short brewing times.

Ce thé est très bon, les feuilles infusées ont une odeur plaisante, dans la tasse le thé a une très belle couleur ambre. Le goût est sucré, doux et riche. Un vrai plaisir.
