Cultivar: Qingxin (ruanzhi) Oolong
Harvested by hand on April 25th, 2016
Origin: Feng Huang (Dong Ding area), Taiwan (750 m)
Process: Lightly oxidized, rolled Oolong and well dried.

Dry leaves: Fresh green/yellow color.

Dry scents: Light flowers and gooseberries.

Brew: light yellow color. Clear and shiny.

Brewed leaves scent: Part flowery, part fruity with buttery and biscuit scents. And also sencha like scents!

Taste: Powerful, clean with a long aftertaste.

Spent leaves: Lots of buds among these healthy leaves. This explains the finesse of this Oolong.

This Oolong is surprising like the winter version I proposed 6 months ago. Nobody who tasted it could guess that it didn't come from a high mountain. Amazingly, this Oolong comes from Feng Huang village (Elevation: 750 m). It's one of the highest plantations in the Dong Ding area, but it's still below the threshold of high mountain (1000 m).
