Yixing modern zhuni tall pear shaped Teapot
The volume of the teapot is 150 ml (15 cl)
It weighs 127.2 grams. Its shape is similar to a tall pear.
The clay is modern zhuni, a hard red/orange clay with little porosity. It was fired at a high temperature: the lid produces a high pitched sound when it touches the body of the teapot.
The details of this teapot show very good craftsmanship. The long walls under the cover are typical of ancient designs. The knob is also slightly elevated and easy to grab. The handle's shape looks like a ear. And the spout is curved like a woman's leg.
It was made in Yixing approximately 10 years ago and is in new condition.
This teapot has a small, single hole.
It performs best with unroasted High Mountain Oolongs.
A short poem is written in Chinese calligraphy under the teapot: "Jade spring flows from the rocks". And it is signed MengChen.
