Cultivar: Qinxin (ruanzhi) Oolong
Harvested : Spring 2001

Origin: Yong Lung, Dong Ding, Taiwan
Process: Concubine Oolong (medium oxidation and roast)

The small rolled leaves are slowly unfurling. The dry scent is deep fruity and sweet. The brew is very bright and clear. The brew smells almost like an old Oriental Beauty! It combines dark woody elements of aged Hung Shui Oolong and the sweet honey fruitiness of Concubine Oolong. The taste is absolutely soft and mellow. The aftertaste is delicately sparkling and very long. It barely feels aged and still is far from reaching its peak. This tea feels sunny and like a walk in a tropical orchard. Wonderful!

See in this article how I brew this tea in an elaborate setting.
