Yixing modern zhuni tall pear shaped Teapot
The volume of the teapot is 112 ml (11.2 cl)
It weighs 80.8 grams. Its shape is similar to a tall pear.
The clay is modern zhuni, a hard red clay with little porosity. It was fired at a high temperature: the cover produces a high pitched sound when it touches the body of the teapot.
The details of this teapot show very good craftsmanship. The long walls under the cover are typical of ancient designs. The handle's shape looks like a ear. The flow can be stopped by pressing on the knob.
It was made in Yixing approximately 10 years ago and has signs of use inside.
This teapot has a small, single hole.
It performs best with unroasted High Mountain Oolongs. The scents of the tea come out strong and bright.
The seals under the teapot are 'Qing' and 'Meng Cheng'.
