Yixing modern zhuni Teapot
The volume of the teapot is 108 ml (10.8 cl)
It weighs 112 grams.
The clay is modern zhuni, a hard and rough clay with little porosity. Made in a standard shape, it was fired at a high temperature: the cover produces a high pitched sound when it touches the body of the teapot.
The details of this thin teapot show very good craftsmanship. The long walls under the cover are typical of ancient designs. The spout is thin and long. The handle's shape looks like a human ear. And the knob is elevated so that it's easy to grab.
It was made in Yixing approximately 10 years ago. It's in new condition.
This teapot has a single hole.
It performs best with lightly oxidized Oolongs or raw puerh.
There's a short poem under the teapot: "A young lady stands by the river". It is signed MengChen.
