Yixing Modern Zhuni Large Baotai Teapot
The volume of the teapot is 265 ml (26.5 cl)
It weighs 111.3 grams.
The clay is modern zhuni, a hard red clay with little porosity. It was fired at a high temperature: the cover produces a high pitched sound when it touches the body of the teapot.
The details of this teapot show good craftsmanship. It is a Baotai, a thin teapot, which is very difficult to make. The walls under the lid are rather long. The handle looks like an ear, and the spout is beautifully curved.
This teapot was made in Yixing approximately 10 years ago and is in a new condition, ready to use.
This teapot has a single hole.
It performs best with unroasted High Mountain Oolongs. The scents of the tea come out strong and bright.
The seals under the teapot are 'Jingxi Wangzhi" in a square and "QingXiang" in a leaf. There's also a calligraphy that means that the guests are gone, but the scent of the tea still stays on the tongue!
