The volume of the teapot is 135 ml (13.5 cl)
It weighs 118.4 grams. The shape of this teapot is either called 梨形 (Lí xíng).
The clay is hungni, a red clay with medium porosity. It was fired at a high temperature: the cover produces a high pitched sound when it touches the body of the teapot.
The details of this teapot show very good craftsmanship. The handle looks like a human ear. And the curved spout looks like a beautiful leg (upside down). It was made approximately 10 years ago, but is in new condition.
This teapot has a single hole. The tea flows with grace from the spout and stops if you press on the lid's button.
It performs well with fresh Oolongs or young puerh.
The calligraphy on the bottom is a poem "Ming Yue Shui Zhong Tian" and is signed Meng Chen.
