This teapot is made of dark, soft purple zisha clay. The sound of the cover on the teapot is high pitched: the teapot was fired at a good temperature.

Nice craftmanship. Well balanced, it floats on water (= shui ping). The handle is well designed and easy to hold. The plum blossom is a popular Chinese symbol for the winter season, the old age, wisdom, hope, because it's a flower that blossoms in winter. And the lotus flower is a symbol of Buddhism, zen.

It has a large single hole.

This classic shaped Yixing zisha is around 20 years old. It's a good fit for puerh tea.

The seal under the teapot is 'JingXi Hui MengChen'.
