2020 Spring Qingxin Oolong Qilai Shan
Cultivar: Qingxin (ruanzhi) Oolong
Harvested by hand: May 4th, 2020
Origin: Qilai Shan (2050 m)
Process: Light oxidized and rolled Oolong, well dried.
The dry leaves are big and dark green. The brew is bright green/yellow, very transparent. The open leaves are big, dark and very thick.
High mountain forest and flower scents. Very fine and light fresh fragrances.
Pure, sweet and a hint of sourness. It strikes by its mineral aftertaste. This is very unlike other high mountain Oolongs in the Lishan area. It also has a good thickness of taste and aftertaste.
Conclusion: This year's Qilai Shan is thick and elegant high mountain Oolong. It has lots of energy and a very interesting mineral lingering taste.
