The dry leaves are big and dark green. The brew has great clarity and transparency The open leaves are very big and they display oxidation marks on the edges. This is a good sign of skilled process.
2. Scents
The dry leaves smell like fresh lavender and fresh flowers! The brew has very refined fragrances.
3. Taste
The taste of this tea is wonderful! It's so good that even the competition brew tastes sweet and long lasting.
Conclusion: The winter starts early in the Da Yu Ling region, because the elevation is so high that tea stops growing past mid October. But this means that we can enjoy Oolongs that have a similar profile as those spring Oolongs.
