Process: Lightly oxidized and rolled Oolong.

1. The view

Large dark green and light yellow dry green leaves. The brew's color is a bright, light and shiny yellow. It has a very good transparency. The open leaves are dark green, a sign that they've received plenty of sunshine. Their oxidation is very light.

2. The scents

The dry floral scent are light, fresh and buttery. The brew is a bouquet of lavender flowers and vetiver.

3. The taste

Powerful, pure and fresh. The taste has a rock dryness with a powerful aftertaste.

Conclusion: this 8 years old Alishan Oolong plantation is quite young and produces above average quality Oolong. Located in Shizhuo (where shi means rock), the taste of this Oolong tastes, indeed, particularly rocky and powerful. This shows that even in the same region, Alishan, there are big profile differences from one village to another.
