2017 Spring Top Qingxin Oolong Bi Lu Xi (DYL)
The Elegant Lightness
Cultivar: Qingxin (ruanzhi) Oolong
Harvested by hand: May 21th, 2017
Origin: Bi Lu Xi (2100-2200 m)
Process: light oxidation, rolled, dried .
The leaves are very big and green. They produce a brew with a very bright yellow color. Shiny and transparent.
Lavender and flowery with notes of butter and white peaches. Very fresh and bright.
Delicate and sweet at first. No bitterness.
Conclusion: the Bi Lu Xi area is so close to Da Yu Ling in terms of distance and aromas that this lot is packaged as coming from Da Yu Ling! Since this production is very lightly oxidized, its scents are particularly floral and the taste cooling and fresh. This makes it indeed very difficult to differenciate from Da Yu Ling!
