2018 Spring Qingxin Oolong Tian Chi
Cultivar: Qingxin (ruanzhi) Oolong

Origin: Tian Chi (天池), near Fushou Shan Elevation: 2260-2500 m
Process: Light to medium oxidized, rolled by hand and dried Oolong
The Tian Chi lake is located right next to Fushou Shan. The plantation there is one of the highest and most sought of in Taiwan. I'm very pleased that I was able to select it this spring.
The dry leaves have vivid and varied green colors. The brew is a bright yellow gold color with excellent transparency. The open leaves are big and have traces of a higher than usual oxidation level. The tear marks at the stems also confirm they were picked by hand.
The dry leaves have flowery, lavender fragrances.The brew has high notes of spring flowers and white peaches.
Very typical of an outstanding high mountain Oolong. It has sweetness, freshness, energy, aftertaste... What stands out and makes it the best high mountain Oolong of spring 2018 is its pure, cristal clear taste!
Conclusion: a heavenly high mountain Oolong!
