Cultivar: Qingxin Oolong
Harvested by hand: May 8th, 2019
Origin: an abandoned tea plantation near Pinglin, Wenshan
Process: Lightly oxidized Baozhong, twisted leaves, well dried.
1. View
The big dry leaves have a dark green color. The brew has an excellent lack of turbidity and a pale yellow/green color indicating a light oxidation. The open leaves show signs of oxidation on the edges, which means a more traditional processing. They are thick and strong, which shows they grew slowly with plenty of nutrients.
2. Scents
The dry scent of the leaves is like spring meadows. The brew has wonderful, intense fragrances of lily flowers and osmanthus.
3. Taste
The taste is soft and pure. Its aftertaste has depth and finesse. The mouthfeel is very clean thanks to the organic nature of the plantation.
Conclusion: This Baozhong's flavor profile is very similar to the 'subtropical forest' Baozhong! But the quality of its leaves, the power of the fragrance, the finesse of the taste are all approaching perfection.
